need help with NASCAR tickets

Some friends of mine want to go to the either the Daytona 500 on Feb 18,2007
OR the UAW-Daimler Chrysler 400 in Vegas on March 11, 2007. However, they're having problems getting affordable tickets for these races...can anybody help? Any ideas on how to score affordable tickets??

Daytona forget it.Ive been a couple of times and never have paid less than 250.00.Vegas is a race Id like to go to but have never been.If its anything like NH (where I go once or twice a season) the only cheap ticket comes if youre the original season ticket holder.Once these tickets begin to change hands they skyrocket.You pretty much going to have to suck it up unless you get lucky.Ive been comped tickets by clients a couple of times but only for my neck of the woods.

Bristol is by far the toughest ticket.

Vegas is the most expensive race ticket on the circut by far and when you throw in jacked up hotel rates it's a very expensive race to attend,Daytona would be the cheaper option.
